With the iPhone, we are finally seeing the potential of the Internet getting through to the mobile platform.
In the past having access to the regular Internet (or even WAP services) has been more of a gimic rather than a mainstream and influential platform, however mobile web is coming quickly and it is important to start investing in this platform and to understand and exploit it's potential.
The starting point is to have a basic (and easy to access, and fast to load) version of your website that is accessible from mobile devices. Facebook and Yahoo for instance already offer very tailored and useful solutions specific to iPhones, and while it is not necessary to invest as much time and money as they no doubt have, this medium will prove more and more important in the future.
